Upon waking

her mimicry begins to terrify, your dream now a nightmare.
She binds you to a leaf with the glue of a thousand unicorns,
where your screams are lost amidst thunderous fluttering.
If only you’d known how far she could migrate,
you would never have held her down and said shhh.
